The Chieftain grain/silage/crop range has been designed to achieve maximum carrying capacity to transport crops, silage, peat etc.

Chieftain’s knowledge and expertise in the commercial trailer sector has contributed to the fact that the four higher capacity models are fitted with 10 stud high speed commercial axles on parabolic suspension as standard. This gives braking efficiencies of over 50% (similar to that of commercial road trailers) and speeds up to 100km/h. This also reduces the brake wear on your towing tractor and saves operators the cost of replacement parts for both the tractor and trailer.

As standard the trailers are also built on a heavy duty chassis. They have a hydraulic up-and-over tail door with grain hatch/chute, and a grain window. The sprung drawbar considerably diminishes impact loads and assists driver comfort,
